AI micro drama generator: a whole series, one episode at a time

Micro dramas live or die on the series: 1–2 minute vertical episodes, the same faces every time, and an ending that makes the next one feel mandatory. DramaSo plans the season from one premise, writes each episode to a cliffhanger, keeps your cast locked, and exports captioned 9:16 episodes for TikTok, Reels, Shorts or a ReelShort-style app.

A micro drama is a series problem, not a clip problem

Most AI video tools make one good clip. A micro drama needs dozens of episodes that share a cast, each opening on a hook and ending on a turn. DramaSo starts from the season: plan the arc, write each episode to its cliffhanger, hear it as dialogue audio, then render and export captioned vertical episodes — the same studio from episode 1 to episode 60.

Features

Built for the micro drama format

A micro drama is not a short film cut into pieces. Each episode has to open on a hook within seconds and close on a turn, and the season has to keep the viewer swiping forward. DramaSo writes to that structure from the first beat.

Season planner

Grow one premise into a season of up to 60 episodes, with each episode's hook and cliffhanger mapped before you render a frame.

Cliffhanger every episode

Every ending is written to set up the next opening, so binge momentum is part of the script, not something fixed in the edit.

Episode-length pacing

Beats are timed for 1–2 minute episodes, with the hook in the opening seconds where feed retention is decided.

One cast for the whole series

The fastest way to lose a micro drama audience is a lead who looks different in episode 4. DramaSo anchors every character to a locked portrait and voice, and each new episode inherits them.

Character lock

One portrait per character anchors face, wardrobe and vibe across scenes, episodes and sequels.

Voices that stay put

Cast a distinct voice per character once; every episode's dialogue is generated with the same voices.

Word-level lip-sync

Mouths match the dialogue track, so close-up confrontations hold up on a phone screen.

Hear the episode before you pay for video

Video is the expensive step. DramaSo voices the whole episode first, so you can fix a flat middle or a weak cliffhanger while it is still cheap, then render shots with the video model you pick.

Script gate

A six-dimension review scores hook speed, conflict, character clarity, cliffhanger and more before you spend a render.

Pick the model per shot

Seedance, Kling, MiniMax H3, Veo or Wan — the credit price of each shot shows before it runs.

Captioned 9:16 export

Captions burned into the safe zone, so the twist lands with the sound off.

From premise to season in three steps

Nothing to install. You only sign in when you generate.

  1. 1

    Idea or script

Idea to video: type a one-line premise. Script to video: paste a pilot script. Either way DramaSo maps the season arc and each episode's hook and cliffhanger.

  2. 2

    Hear episode 1

Lock a reference portrait and a voice for each character, then listen to the episode as dialogue audio and fix it while it is cheap.

  3. 3

    Render and keep going

Render the shots, export a captioned 9:16 episode, and generate the next one — it inherits the cast and picks up from the cliffhanger.

Micro drama, defined

What is a micro drama?

A micro drama is a scripted series whose individual episodes run under roughly ten minutes — usually one to two — shot vertically for phone viewing. China’s broadcast regulator formally recognised the category in December 2020. The defining constraint is episode length; the defining craft is ending every episode on a turn.

What is a hook in micro drama writing?

A hook is the reversal or unanswered question placed at the end of an episode to make the next one feel mandatory. In a vertical feed the viewer’s default action is to swipe away, so hook density across the season — not runtime — decides whether a series gets watched through.

How does an AI micro drama generator make a series?

It plans a season arc from a premise, writes each episode as beats with a hook and a cliffhanger, keeps reference portraits and voices for every character, renders the shots, and exports each episode as a captioned 9:16 video. DramaSo runs all of those steps in one studio.

Market context

  • China’s micro-drama market reached 67.79 billion yuan in 2025 with roughly 696 million viewers, while the overseas market is projected to pass 20 billion yuan in 2026 — growth is now concentrated in localisation for foreign-language audiences.
