LTX-Video is Lightricks' speed play: a DiT model whose 13B distilled variant, per the README, renders HD video in about 10 seconds on an H100, with 2B distilled models described as real-time capable. Our read for short drama: iteration speed is the pitch — when directors want ten takes of a shot before lunch, a fast model changes the creative loop more than a marginally prettier one.

Two caveats from the README. First, it works best under 720x1280 and 257 frames, and the bundled inference script admits quality lags the ComfyUI workflows — so plan on ComfyUI as the front end. Second, the repo openly redirects new development to LTX-2, making this the previous generation: stable, Apache-2.0, 10.6k stars, but pick it knowing the successor is where energy goes. Wan and HunyuanVideo are the slower, heavier alternatives.
