Video to Depth Map — Motion-Control Video in Your Browser
Turn any clip into a grayscale depth video on this device. Feed it to Seedance or Hailuo as a motion-control reference so remakes hold composition — nothing is uploaded.
From a viral clip to a shootable remake
01
Convert locally
Depth Anything V2 runs in your browser. The original clip never leaves the device.
02
Attach as a reference
In Studio, pin the depth video on a shot that supports reference video (Seedance, Hailuo, Wan 3).
03
Shoot the remake
The model follows blocking and camera motion instead of guessing from a prompt alone.
FAQ
Can this turn a video into a depth-map video?
Yes. It estimates per-frame depth with Depth Anything V2 Small and exports a grayscale control video (near = bright). Optional Inferno color is for preview only — grayscale is what Seedance and Hailuo expect.
Does anything get uploaded?
The converter itself does not upload. If you attach the result in Studio as a generation reference, that file is stored so the video model can fetch it — same as any other reference asset.
Which models use a depth reference?
Seedance (including Fast / Mini / 2.5), MiniMax Hailuo 03, and Wan 3. Other rows ignore the attachment.
How is this different from pasting a prompt?
A prompt describes the scene. A depth video tells the model where the camera sat and how bodies moved. That is why remakes of viral clips hold composition instead of drifting.
What length and format work?
The first 15 seconds at 8–24 fps. MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 80MB. Chrome or Edge with WebGPU is fastest; Safari falls back to WASM.
Is it free?
The in-browser conversion is free. Using the depth clip as a generation reference is billed like any other shot, with the price shown before you confirm.
